I put together this initial list a few years ago filled with our tried and true things to do and then other ideas for inspiration. Since a few of our favorite fall activities are no longer in existence (Demonye&#8217;s haunted greenhouse and Schacht Farms pumpkin patch), I will be turning to this list for inspiration on creating new memories this fall. This magical place started out as a personal garden and has evolved into a community garden and kindness initiative. Walk the gourd tunnel, take in the beauty of the flowers, and hang out with the farm cat, &#8220;Cheese.&#8221; Be sure to pick up produce at the farm stand, where nothing is priced and everything is donation based. Follow the signs for the driving tour, which is a little over 2 miles long, and includes a section of the roadway not normally open to general park visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Take a Fall Hike to observe all the fall color. <\/span><\/strong><\/em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">A few of our favorite fall foliage hikes include:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/us\/ohio\/dripping-rock-loop\">Dripping Rock Trail<\/a>\u00a0at Highbanks Metro Park: A 2.6 mile loop that travels through the forest and along a creek. The fall foliage at peak is quite stunning.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metroparks.net\/parks-and-trails\/slate-run\/\">Five Oaks Trail Loop<\/a> at Slate Run Metro Park: A 1.5 mile gravel hike that goes through a steep ravine with black shale outcrops.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/us\/ohio\/rock-stalls-natural-sanctuary\">Rockstall Nature Preserve:<\/a>\u00a0A 1.1 mile loop that takes you through the woods, over creeks, and down a staircase into a holler. The holler is filled with beautiful open faced rock structures and flowing water. This hike is not stroller friendly.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metroparks.net\/parks-and-trails\/blendon-woods\/\">Sugarbush Trail<\/a>\u00a0at Blendon Woods Metro Park: A 2 mile trail that passes\u00a0through a woods that opens onto a meadow. Heavily populated with many different species of birds.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/us\/ohio\/sweetgum-trail\">Sweetgum Trail<\/a> at Walnut Woods Metro Park: A 2.3 mile loop through the sweet gum trees, tall pine trees, and wildflower fields.
